Food Distribution 200 (9)

What We Do

At TSEWCT, we are implementing comprehensive programs to ensure improvement in nutrition security, nutrition and health status of the population. Our Food Security programmes are in align with the definition od 'Food Security' by the  World Food Summit in 1996; as a situation in which “all people, at all times, have access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food to meet their dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life. Our survey department works on the evolving data from the ground to understand the real situation and advocate in implementing evidence based intervention programmes to improve food and nutrition security of the underprivileged, ensure that the ongoing food supplementation programmes provide sufficient food to meet the energy/nutrients gap in vulnerable segments of population, and nationalize and improve ongoing nutrition interventions aimed at prevention, early detection and effective management of under- and overnutrition.

How We Do?

Meal Distribution

  • We provide meals to the needy in partnership with our food partners.

  • All the food packets are hygienically packed and distributed by our volunteers to the beneficiaries.

Ration Kits Distribution

  • We pack the essentials grocery items and distribute to the most needy. Our beneficiaries are the marginalized and underprivileged urban slum dwellers who doesn't have access to the food due socio, political and economic vulnerabilities.

  • Each Kits contains 14 items, weights an average of 50 Kg and can caters a family of 4 with at least 1 month.

TSEWCT was established in 2010. Since our inception, we have found huge gaps between wealthy and needy families. We focused our work on reducing poverty by developing and implementing sustainable projects which help communities raise their living standards.

Our fundamental is the survey mechanisms that we implement before designing any project. TSEWCT made the household survey mandatory through which we are able to ascertain actual needs and develop a solution for them. After proper inquiries, we conclude on which members are the most deserving. This evaluation takes into consideration various factors like family members including but not limited to - their age and health, educational status, destitution, disabilities, marital status (special preference given to deserted women, elderly widows, single mothers, pregnant women), we also work closely in supporting older members of the community who aren’t supported by anyone else by the form of elderly pensions.

TSEWCT ensures that our program services are open and available to all persons or families without regard to race, religion, creed, gender, ethnic orgin or any other discriminatory measure.
